Rurgam Foundation is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to empowering rural communities through sustainable initiatives in poverty relief, human rights, the environment, and livelihood.

Refund Policy

At Rurgam, we commit to ensuring transparency and fairness in the donation refund process, particularly as digital payments become more common. While we expect all donors to exercise care and due diligence when donating, we also understand that mistakes can happen or donors may reconsider their decision.

We will carefully review each request to return donations and make every effort to accommodate such requests. In some cases, we may request additional information or documentation and donors are expected to cooperate. However, Rurgam reserves the right to reject any refund requests, especially if a tax exemption certificate has already been issued.

Requesting a refund

If you would like to request a refund for your donation, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit a written request, by post or email, to Rurgam.
  1. Make sure your request reaches Rurgam within 15 days from the date of donation. Donation date refers to:
  • Date of donation made online, electronically or otherwise.
  • The date you hand over the check or demand draft to Rurgam or someone authorized by Rurgam.
  • The date you sent the check or demand draft to Rurgam.
  1. Your written request should include the following details:
  • Date of Donation.
  • Donation Amount.
  • If the donation is made by cheque or demand draft, include the cheque/draft number.
  • If the donation is made by credit card, enter the last 4 digits of your credit card number.
  • If the donation is made online, include your donation ID.
